Setting up a new business on your own presents a significant challenge with many potential pit falls. Our franchise support team has a wealth of experience which will help and support you through the process.
Once you are open for business you have a dedicated Franchise Regional Opticians Development Manager (FROpDM) to provide ongoing support to ensure you get the best out of your business.
“Debbie and Emesto Gomez are a great example of a partnership in and out of the test room. They opened the doors to their brand new practice in January 2009 located in the high street of Caterham, Surrey.
Debbie is the Optometrist and Ernesto manages the shop floor. Ernesto had no previous optical retail experience however with his own self determination and access to our accredited training programmes he has changed his career. Prior to the store opening, Ernesto spent time working in different practices across the franchise and company network and this provided invaluable experience.”
As part of your journey to become a Franchise Partner we will work closely with you to identify your training needs. Our Franchise Training Manager will arrange for you to spend time in a “buddy branch” so you have first hand experience of a live Boots Opticians practice and you will also attend an Introduction to Boots course in Nottingham. Further training and development will be discussed with you on and individual basis to ensure your specific needs are met.
Boots Opticians also provides award winning, Nationally Accredited training for optical Consultants. The Optical Consultant Apprenticeship Programme enables colleagues to obtain a L2 Diploma in Optical Retail skills which is equivalent to 5 GCSE’s. There is also an Advanced Apprenticeship programme including the L3 Diploma in Optical Retail Skills which is equivalent to an ‘A’ level. This training is tailored to our own customer proposition and will ensure your colleagues are highly trained, and able to deliver legendary customer service.
